How to Set Up Outlook Express

Before you can use Outlook Express to send and receive e-mail, you need to set up an account. Follow the steps below.

1. Open Outlook Express

2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.
Note: If you have never configured, or used, your Outlook Express email program, at this point the Internet Connection Wizard will open automatically. In such a situation, go directly to step 5.

3. Click the Add button and choose Mail.

4. In the Display name field, type your full name.
5. Click the Next button.

6. In the E-mail address field, type your full BingoMail email address (e.g., john_smith@bingomail.com).
7. Click the Next button.

8. Click the down arrow on the My incoming mail is a ____ server drop-down list and choose POP3.
9. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field, type your Incoming mail server (POP) bingomail.com
10. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type bingomail.com
11. Click the Next button.

12. In the Account name field, type your full BingoMail email address (e.g., john_smith@bingomail.com).
13. In the Password field, type your email password.
14. Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password.
15. Click the Next button.

16. Click the Finish button.

You're ready to send your first e-mail!
Unsure if your new e-mail account is working? Send an e-mail message to a friend. If they get the message, your account is ready to roll!

Set Up a Web-based E-Mail Account
You Can receive your Bingo mail to Hotmail, Yahoo account and other Web-based emails. As mail is not stored on your hard disk, but is kept on the account-provider's computer. That's what makes it possible to access your account from any computer in the world over the Internet. Here's how you set yourself up.

Go to the Web site and follow the setup instructions - for example, www.hotmail.com for Hotmail and www.yahoo.com for Yahoo.
Set up Outlook Express to use the account, by following the instructions above in Set up an Outlook Express e-mail account.
